New York in June

My mother and her good friend, Midge, who
is 94 years old.

Midge's house and barn. Quite "New England" for sure.
We always called it Herbie's farm. That was, of course, her
husband's name. Herbie delivered our milk -home grown on
this farm. It was cold and in glass bottles with little cardboard
lids. It was NOT homogenized. There was no such thing as
homogenized or low fat or 1% or skim way back then.

This is the view from Midge's front lawn. Midge is upset
because of all the trees. She use to be able to see everything,
but now there are too many trees!!!!

A lot has happened in the last 95 years - some of it hard to
swallow.
