Rites of Passage

Nate and I went to the cabin (my first time in about ten years, and his first time ever) this weekend with some friends to go Turkey hunting. A great time was had by all, and it was really cool to get back down to the cabin and enjoy the outdoors. The hunt was really nothing more than a walk through the mountains with a firearm. Seven year-old boys don't make for good hunting partners, failing to appreciate the concepts of concealment and silence and their necessity when stalking prey. Nonetheless, it was great to finally have an opportunity to lay the groundwork for future male-bonding outings.
